Service Department
Our Bernina-trained technician, Patricia James, staffs the
Service Department at Quilt & Sewing Center of
Fredericksburg. Store co-owner Kiki Keske is the back up
tech, also trained by Bernina. We try to operate with a one-
week or less turnaround.
When you bring your machine in for service, please include with
the machine the
bring a sample.
Sewing machines should be serviced by a trained professional
at least once a year.
Switch to a new needle at least once for every 8 hours of
sewing.
Oil your sewing machine at regular intervals (For Bernina
models 180-200s, every 3 hours; All other models, every 8
hours).

- #1 foot or zigzag foot if not a Bernina
- the buttonhole foot
- the 40C foot for 1630, 180,185, 640, 200 and 730
- the BSR if applicable,
- bobbin & case,
- embroidery module,
- power cord, foot pedal and carrying case.
